1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing and using the Menopause Support Initiative (MSI) website at menopauseinitiative.org, including our WhatsApp assistant MenoPat, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use our services.

2. Services Description

MSI provides:

  • Educational content about menopause health and wellness
  • Interactive health tools (stage calculator, symptom tracker, risk assessment, BMI calculator)
  • Professional consultation booking with qualified pharmacists
  • Event registration and community activities
  • Product sales (books and educational materials)
  • MenoPat WhatsApp assistant for information and service access
  • Newsletter and resource distribution

3. Medical Disclaimer

Important: The information provided by MSI, including through MenoPat, our health tools, blog articles, and consultations, is for educational and informational purposes only. It is not a substitute for professional medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment.

Always seek the advice of your physician or other qualified health provider with any questions you may have regarding a medical condition. Never disregard professional medical advice or delay in seeking it because of something you have read on this website or received through our services.

Our consultations are pharmaceutical consultations — not medical consultations. For medical emergencies, contact your doctor or go to the nearest hospital immediately.

4. User Accounts & Conduct

When using our services, you agree to:

  • Provide accurate and truthful information
  • Not use our services for unlawful purposes
  • Not distribute harmful, offensive, or misleading health information through our platforms
  • Respect the privacy and dignity of other community members
  • Not attempt to access admin or restricted areas without authorisation

5. Payments & Refunds

All payments are processed securely through Paystack in Nigerian Naira (NGN).

  • Digital products (ebooks, audiobooks): Delivered instantly upon payment confirmation. No refunds once download link is sent.
  • Physical products: Shipped within 3-5 business days. Refund requests must be made within 7 days of delivery for damaged or incorrect items.
  • Consultations: Rescheduling is available up to 24 hours before the appointment. No-shows are not refundable.
  • Events: Refund policy varies per event and is stated on each event page. Free event registrations can be cancelled at any time.

6. Intellectual Property

All content on this website — including text, images, graphics, logos, blog articles, and the book "Menopause Unfiltered" — is the property of the Menopause Support Initiative or its content creators and is protected by copyright law.

You may share our content for personal, non-commercial purposes with proper attribution. Reproduction for commercial purposes requires written permission.

7. WhatsApp (MenoPat) Terms

By messaging MenoPat on WhatsApp, you consent to receiving automated responses and occasional broadcast messages from MSI. You can opt out at any time by sending "STOP". Message and data rates from your mobile carrier may apply.

8. Limitation of Liability

MSI shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from the use of our services. Our total liability for any claim shall not exceed the amount paid by you for the specific service giving rise to the claim.

9. Changes to Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of our services after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised terms. We will notify users of significant changes via email or website notice.

10. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Lagos State, Nigeria.
