1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing and using the Menopause Support Initiative (MSI) website at menopauseinitiative.org, including our WhatsApp assistant MenoVoice, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use our services.

2. Services Description

MSI provides:

  • Educational content about menopause health and wellness
  • Interactive health tools (stage calculator, symptom tracker, risk assessment, BMI calculator)
  • Professional consultation booking with qualified pharmacists
  • Event registration and community activities
  • Product sales (books and educational materials)
  • MenoVoice WhatsApp assistant for information and service access
  • Newsletter and resource distribution

3. Medical Disclaimer

Important: The information provided by MSI, including through MenoVoice, our health tools, blog articles, and consultations, is for educational and informational purposes only. It is not a substitute for professional medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment.

Always seek the advice of your physician or other qualified health provider with any questions you may have regarding a medical condition. Never disregard professional medical advice or delay in seeking it because of something you have read on this website or received through our services.

Our consultations are pharmaceutical consultations — not medical consultations. For medical emergencies, contact your doctor or go to the nearest hospital immediately.

4. User Accounts & Conduct

When using our services, you agree to:

  • Provide accurate and truthful information
  • Not use our services for unlawful purposes
  • Not distribute harmful, offensive, or misleading health information through our platforms
  • Respect the privacy and dignity of other community members
  • Not attempt to access admin or restricted areas without authorisation

5. Payments, Cancellations & Refunds

Prices are in Nigerian Naira (NGN). You can pay by card, bank or USSD through Paystack, or by bank transfer to the account shown at checkout. Bank transfers are confirmed manually within one working day; your order, booking or membership is not active until we confirm payment.

  • Ebook, audiobook and bundle:Delivered as download links by WhatsApp and email as soon as payment is confirmed. Links work for 72 hours and up to five downloads; use the "Find my purchase" page to get fresh links. Because the files are delivered instantly, digital purchases are not refundable once the links have been sent, except where the files are faulty and we cannot replace them.
  • Print copies: Sold separately through Precious (+234 903 377 5017) or Selar; their delivery and refund terms apply.
  • Consultations: You may reschedule free of charge up to 24 hours before the appointment by contacting us. No-shows and cancellations inside 24 hours are not refundable. If we have to cancel, you get a full refund or a new slot — your choice.
  • Step & Share club (annual): Membership runs for 12 months from payment and does not renew automatically; we remind you before it expires. The fee is not refundable once you have been added to the club group.
  • Annual health screening with our diagnostics partner: After payment we contact you to agree a centre and date with the partner laboratory. You may cancel for a full refund (less payment-processor fees) up to 48 hours before the agreed date, or reschedule once free of charge. Cancellations inside 48 hours or missed appointments are not refundable. MenoClub members pay the member price shown at checkout; the discount is applied automatically to the phone number registered with MenoClub.
  • Events: Refund policy varies per event and is stated on each event page. Free event registrations can be cancelled at any time.

Approved refunds are returned to the original payment method within 10 working days. To request one, message us on WhatsApp or email Menopauseinitiative@gmail.com with your order or booking reference.

6. Intellectual Property

All content on this website — including text, images, graphics, logos, blog articles, and the book "Menopause Unfiltered" — is the property of the Menopause Support Initiative or its content creators and is protected by copyright law.

You may share our content for personal, non-commercial purposes with proper attribution. Reproduction for commercial purposes requires written permission.

7. WhatsApp (MenoVoice) Terms

By messaging MenoVoice on WhatsApp, you consent to receiving automated responses and occasional broadcast messages from MSI. You can opt out at any time by sending "STOP". Message and data rates from your mobile carrier may apply.

8. Limitation of Liability

MSI shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from the use of our services. Our total liability for any claim shall not exceed the amount paid by you for the specific service giving rise to the claim.

9. Changes to Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of our services after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised terms. We will notify users of significant changes via email or website notice.

10. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Lagos State, Nigeria.
